Plan to Win

I often recite the quote, "If you fail to plan, you plan to fail" by Ben Franklin. I learned and have noticed a significant difference in production when I implement my lessons on planning. Whether you're developing relationships, starting a new business, or starting a new assignment at work planning has significant advantages. As part of planning, I like to start To Do lists and create very detailed daily/monthly schedules to help me stay on track. Today starts a new week and I promise I will create a new plan to tackle this week and my ever growing list of To Dos and tasks.  In addition to CPA studying I am also participating in a social media internship that I absolutely love! I'm still maintaining my full time career and the many assignments that come along with it. Recently at work I signed up to be a pioneer for a spectacular experience and career opportunity in addition to my regular duties, assignments, and responsibilities. So as you can see I have a lot of things going on and I know the best way to approach it is to have a detailed plan that includes a list of To Dos and schedule.
Oh, not to mention I'm not just some boring business person, I have a sassy life too. lol I enjoy pop culture and going out combining business with pleasure by networking at events so I have to find time to cater and feed my sassy side.  I always mention its important to have a balanced life, too much of anything is a bad thing. I think its impossible to have a balanced life and balance all your tasks, responsibilities, and duties without having a plan.

                                                                                                              How To Plan:
1. Write down everything you need to do or place it in your electronic planning device, phone, ipad, laptop etc.
2. Review your tasks and prioritize the items at the same time each day.
3. Look at your list of appointments for the day and determine which are important to do on this day.
4. Schedule blocks of time in your day to work on your to do list.

5. Allow for flexibility in your schedule. In other words, don't over schedule yourself.
